Ironbuilt Infrastructure was engaged by Essential Energy as the Principal Contractor for the delivery of civil and construction works at the Forest Glen Zone Substation and Switching Station in regional NSW. The project supports long-term grid stability and growing energy demands in the area.
With significant previous experience delivering energy infrastructure projects across the eastern seaboard, Ironbuilt was selected to manage all aspects of the site establishment, substation bench preparation, compound development and construction access – bringing our expertise in critical infrastructure delivery to another key site in Essential Energy’s network.

Scope of works includes:
- Roadworks, pavement construction and landscaping
- Site establishment and clearing
- Bulk earthworks
- Construction of substation and switching station benches
- Transformer compound development and foundations
- Stormwater drainage systems
- Electrical concrete trenching, conduits, pits, and earth grid installations
- Boundary fencing and gates
